The town of Fraserburgh is situated some 40 miles north of the city of Aberdeen and is ideal for people traveling the costal route.
The largest shellfish port in Europe and a major centre for white fish production, the history and economy of the town is forever linked with Scotland's fishing industry.
The busy commercial harbour is a hub of activity in the town but forms just a part of the coastal activities. Indulge in some excellent water sports such as diving or surfing, explore the award winning golden sandy beaches, or take a trip to the sea shore centre.
The stunning natural beauty of the Fraserburgh coast also lends itself to some excellent links golf at Fraserburgh Golf Club, one of the oldest in the world.
The modern clubhouse has a range of amenities while both 18 hole and 9 hole courses offer good challenges for every golfer regardless of handicap.
Great golf is synonymous with Scotland and at Fraserburgh Golf Club these wonderful golfing traditions are upheld.
Major visitor attractions within the town include the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre, in which the history and culture of the town and region is presented through visual, educational, and interactive displays.
The Glover Institute which promotes contact between the UK and Japan. The Lighthouse Museum is another popular North East landmark, where Kinnard Head Lighthouse is joined by a museum and café. Just 5 minutes from the town centre is Fraserburgh Leisure Centre, in which visitors can enjoy 10 pin bowling, a bar, restaurant, family activities and other leisure facilities.
Within the town itself there is a host of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and in particular some first class seafood restaurants which make the most of the daily catches.
There are also some historic sites, churches and museums and beyond the town plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and exploring the surrounding area. Fishing is an ever popular pursuit as is other outdoor activities such as shooting and hiking.
The Bayview Guest House represents the perfect base from which to experience all that Fraserburgh and the surrounds have to offer.
